Koyambedu, Chennai, April 2, 2026: Apple Valley Special School marked Autism Awareness Day with great enthusiasm and community spirit on April 2, 2026. The event was organized to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The program began with the Principal of the school ceremonially hosting the flag, officially inaugurating the awareness rally. This symbolic gesture set the tone for the day, encouraging students and staff to actively participate in spreading awareness.
Following the inauguration, the school conducted an awareness rally in and around the locality. Students and staff participated with great energy, carrying placards and sharing meaningful messages to educate the public about autism. Awareness brochures were distributed to the community to further enhance understanding and promote inclusivity.
To show solidarity and support, all students and staff wore blue attire, representing Autism Awareness. The rally saw enthusiastic participation from both students and staff, reflecting their commitment to the cause.
Students who actively participated in the rally were honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their involvement and efforts in spreading awareness.
The event concluded on a joyful note with refreshments being provided to all students and staff, making it a memorable and impactful celebration.
